Dr. Boris Beizer received a PhD in computer science from the 
University of Pennsylvania in 1966. He has written twelve books, 
ranging from system architecture to his well-known pair on software 
testing -- Software Testing Techniques and Software System 
Testing and Quality Assurance -- both considered standard 
references on the subject. His latest book is Black Box 
Testing, an introduction to testing technology. He directed 
testing for the FAA's Weather Message Switching Center and several 
other large communications systems. He has been a speaker at many 
testing conferences and is also known for his seminars on testing. He 
consults on software testing and quality assurance with many 
organizations throughout the world.
