We are especially excited about the 40 full technical papers and 80 presentations that will compete in the race for the Gitek QWE'99 Best Paper Award and The Qualityhouse QWE'99 Best Presentation Award.

The QWE'99 GITEK BEST PAPER AWARD: USD$1,000
Among the 40 Full Technical Papers prepared by the QWE'99 speakers, three finalists for this award will be selected by the QWE'99 Advisory Board. Gitek will make the final decision, recognizing the exceptional skills and insight of the chosen author(s). The QWE'99 Best Paper Award will be announced at the end of the Thursday morning keynote presentation and presented by the managing director of Gitek.

There were two runners-up (see picture) for the QWE'99 Best Paper Award:

The QWE'99 QUALITYHOUSE BEST PRESENTATION AWARD
This award will be given to the most dynamic, charismatic and professional presenter of QWE'99, chosen from among 80 presentations. It will be voted on by the QWE'99 Attendees and presented by the managing director of Qualityhouse on Friday at the conclusion of the conference.

The QWE'99 BEST PRESENTATION AWARD was given to (see picture) Marcelo Dalceggio for his presentation of Automating Software Inspection Process, co-authored by Alvaro Ruiz de Mendarozqueta.
